Crutan

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026 · Part of the Terms of Service

The principle

Crutan exists to make outreach more respectful: one well-researched, honest page per prospect instead of a thousand identical blasts. Anything that uses the engine to deceive, spam, or harm recipients is prohibited and enforced quickly — bad actors poison deliverability and trust for every customer.

Email and outreach rules

  • Comply with anti-spam law in every recipient's jurisdiction (CAN-SPAM, CASL, PECR/GDPR e-marketing rules, and equivalents).
  • Honor opt-outs immediately and permanently across campaigns.
  • No purchased lists of consumers; B2B lists must be lawfully sourced and relevant to your offer.
  • Sender identity must be truthful — real name, real company, working reply address.

Page content rules

  • No impersonation. Pages may reference a prospect's company by name for personalization, but must never claim to be that company, use its logo as the page's own identity, or imply endorsement that doesn't exist.
  • No deception. No fake testimonials, fabricated metrics, counterfeit urgency, or misleading claims about your product.
  • No phishing or credential harvesting of any kind, ever. This results in immediate termination and reporting.
  • No prohibited categories: malware, weapons, illegal goods or services, adult content targeting, discrimination or harassment, content sexualizing minors (reported to authorities), or content that violates third-party IP.

Data rules

  • Import only business-contact data you have a lawful basis to process (see the DPA).
  • No special-category / sensitive personal data in prospect records.
  • No scraping Crutan itself, reselling engine output as a competing service, or probing other tenants' workspaces.

Platform integrity

  • No attempts to bypass plan limits, rate limits, or security controls.
  • No automated account creation or abuse of free trials.
  • Security research is welcome under coordinated disclosure — email security@crutan.com; no testing against other customers' data.

Enforcement

Violations may result in content removal, sending suspension, workspace suspension, or termination — proportionate to severity, with notice where lawful and safe. Phishing, impersonation of real companies, and CSAM result in immediate termination. We may report unlawful activity to authorities. To report abuse on a Crutan-generated page, email abuse@crutan.com with the page URL.
